Reading Scheme

The school uses the Sounds Write approach to the teaching and reading. This covers the teaching of phonics and also links to the teaching of spelling.

 

Children are expected to take home a reading book from school on a regular basis. We have a variety of different books for children to take home from a range of schemes, such as; Oxford Reading Tree, Bug Club, Dandelion Readers, Rigby Star and Collins Big Cat.
