Reading for pleasure and fostering a love of books is an integral part of our culture here at Chowbent Primary School. To strengthen and promote a love of reading, we have launched a whole school ‘Reading Scrapbook’ project. 

Every class, from Year R through to Year 6, has been provided with a reading scrapbook. They will be a feature in each class library. 

Children use the scrapbook to share a particular book that has captured their interest. This could take the form of:

● book review

● summary of the story

● author profile page

● book appreciation page

● photographs

● drawings

● collage

● writing
