  • School Meals

The cost of a school meal for KS2 is £3.05 per day. Pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will receive a free school meal each day. This is a Government-Funded Programme known as Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM).

All school meals should be ordered in advance using The HUB. This can be done up to three weeks in advance.  If a meal is not ordered, your child may not be able to have their desired choice.  If your child is absent, please cancel the meal before 9.30am or unfortunately, you will still have to pay for the missed meal.

    Eligibility for Free School Meals

From September 2026, the Department for Education (DfE) is making some changes to the way that Free School Meals are allocated. All children and their families will need to be rechecked annually to ascertain whether they can continue to receive this entitlement. Wigan Council will then be able to run the annual checks required and submit results to school, without further action on your part each year, as your child moves through their school journey. Please also click the link below if you have yet to complete this.

If you think your child may be entitled to benefits related to Free School Meals (FSM), please complete this application form. Parents can include multiple children on the same application, provided all listed children have the same parental responsibility arrangements.
