We had an amazing day coming together ar a school to celebrate our French learning.

Even KS1 got involved and learned some French along the way.

We worked in mixed year groups to complete a carousel of activites including;

• French food tasting
  • We tasted a range of traditional french foods and drinks, some of us were very brave and tasted escargot/snails.
  • We learned how to express opinions on what we tried.
• Games of Pétanque (boules)
• Scavenger Hunt
  • KS1 searched for objects/pictures that are cognates - words in english that we have borrowed from French.
  • KS2 worked together to find objects/pictures of the vocabulary that they have learned in their French lessons.
• Francophone Quiz
  • Children learned and answered questions about countries around the world that speak French, their tranditions and culture.

KS2 performed a some poems, stories and plays in French!
