Curriculum Overview
At Chowbent Primary, we aim to provide a curriculum that brings learning to life. Our curriculum is designed to provide all pupils with the greatest possible opportunities to develop a strong and secure knowledge base, regardless of their starting point or individual circumstance. We recognise that children earn in different ways and our curriculum is carefully adapted and supported to ensure all pupils can participate fully and achieve their potential. Our curriculum builds on pupil's strengths, interests and experiences and we aim to equip our students with the skills and knowledge needed for the next stage of their education.
Alongside academic achievement, our curriculum places a strong emphasis on supporting pupils' personal, social and emotional development. We encourage children to take responsibility for their own learning, their actions and the world around them. Through our curriculum and wider school experiences, pupils are given opportunities to develop independence, make positive choices and understand the importance of being responsible and respectful members of their community.
