In Y4 we cover Electricity, Sound, Animals including humans, Living things in their habitats and States of Matter.

Science in Action in Y4
ELECTRICITY ⚡️:We used our knowledge of complete and incomplete circuits and conductors to make working switches using paper clips and split pins.
ANIMALS INCLUDING HUMANS: We learnt about the importance of dental health and hygiene. We cleaned our teeth and then used disclosing tablets to look at the old and new plaque on our teeth. We loved it!
LIVING THINGS AND THEIR HABITATS: We classified living things in a variety of different ways using both Venn and Carroll diagrams.
SOUND
We have been looking at how sounds are made and the different effects of sound. Why can different sounds have different pitches and volumes? We even made our own panpipes to help us understand why pitch changes 🎶
